started from the bottom now we hair.

everybody has had the painful experience of either u or someone else trying to detangle ur hair by starting from the roots. this is a huge no no. starting from the roots is not only painful but very damaging to ur hair. u are ripping hair out of ur head from the root as well as breaking the hair. when u are ready to detangle ur hair u need to start from the bottom and work ur way up. detangle the very bottom first. then move up and inch and detangle that portion. do this all the way to the root. once u have reached the scalp then and only then should u run the comb/brush through the hair starting from the roots.
try this technique. it is very healthy and important especially if u are trying to grow and maintain long hair. u will notice a lot less shedding of hair and tears.

ur hot then ur cold.

when shampooing/cowashing ur hair varying water temperatures can be very beneficial. heat when combined with moisture opens the hairs cuticle. this is why ur hair poofs in humid weather but not in dry heat. ur hair cuticle is opening and filling with moisture.
the initial hair and water contact should be with warm water. this will open the hair cuticle allowing the shampoo/conditioner to penetrate the hair shaft and work more effectively. instead of coating the hair the products will work into the hair.
cold water closes the hair cuticle. think of ur hair like ur body. when ur in bed and it’s cold u curl up but when it’s hot u sprawl out. after u have applied the conditioner to ur hair u want to rinse with cool water to close the hair cuticle again trapping in the moisture or whatever properties u want from the product. this also leaves the hair shiny and full of luster.
beginning with warm water and ending with cool water will help u get the most out of ur products. leave ur hair full of moisture. help u use less product. have nice moisturized shiny hair. and just healthier hair all around.
